Doctor Who. Massacre of St. Bartholomew's Eve

Hartnell, William, 1908-1975 (Added Author). BBC Audiobooks Ltd. (Added Author).

Summary: The Tardis lands in Paris in 1572 at the time of the massacre of the French Protestants at the hands of the Catholic Queen Mother, Catherine de Medici. Worryingly for the Tardis crew, it appears that the hated Catholic dignitary the Abbot of Amboise is a dead ringer for the Doctor himself ... This is a four-part Doctor Who story from 1966, wiped from the BBC Archives, which exists on soundtrack only. Peter Purves supplies added narration to the story. The episodes have not been seen for more than thirty years, and given that they no longer exist in visual form, they are now audio exclusives. The Doctor is played by William Hartnell.
